Figure 10-6 calls out the uncertainty factor of your data lake platforms, but rest assured that uncertainty is actually a good thing at this point!

You’ll make these decisions soon enough. For now, as tempting as it may be to “get the technical stuff out of the way,” keep your focus on the conceptual level until you have a solid, end-to-end perspective of your data lake. Don’t paint yourself into a corner and limit your flexibility by making platform and technology decisions before you actually have to do so!
